Jaguar showcase the development of the C-X75 hybrid supercar on video
After little news on the Jaguar C-X75 – Jaguar’s hybrid supercar – after production plans were cancelled at the end of 2012, this last week has seen a flurry of activity. We’ve had a few select publications given the chance to take a ride – and a brief drive – in the C-X75 at Gaydon, and Jaguar decided to release some new photos of the C-X75 in a fetching shade of blue. We’ve also had the suggestion that Jaguar will give the F-Type a 700bhp version of the C-X75′s hybrid powerplant.
Firmly among the top three classic car events in the world – arguably alongside UK's Goodwood Festival of Speed and USA's Pebble Beach – Italy's Villa d'Este is perhaps the most design-led of the three and took place again on the beautiful shores of Lake Como last weekend (24-26 May). Hot on the heels of the P1 hypercar, the new 650S slots between the firm’s flagship motor and already established 12C. With bold claims of race car-like performance while retaining the luxury and refinement of its premium supercar rivals, McLaren has revealed that the 650S can sprint to 124mph from rest – the industry standard 200kph – in a blistering 8.4 seconds.
